Born in Sète (France) in 1910.

Attended the School of Fine Arts of Montpellier.

In 1930 Pinet moved to Paris, where he studied under Lucien Simon at the Ecole Nationale Superiere des Beaux Artes.

After graduating in 1936, Pinet won the First Rome Prize, which enabled him to continue studies at Villa Medici in Rome, where he stayed until 1939.

In addition to painting and graphic works Pinet taught and engaged in monumental art.

Pinet died in Paris in 1947.
