Born in Middletown, the USA, on 1 January 1967.

In 1988 he earned a Bachelor of Arts from Emerson College.

Since 1992 Tunick has been staging nude photoshoots in public locations. His early works focussed on a single nude or small groups of nudes, however, gradually the number of people involved in his photo performances rose to several hundreds and even thousands of naked men and women. Tunick has photographed his massive installations in the US, Canada, Mexico, Chile, Venezuela, the Netherlands, Germany, France and Belgium.

Spencer Tunick is one of the better-known photographers of our day, with several documentaries and books devoted to his installations. Many museum and private collections have his photographs.
