Born in Moscow in 1931.
In 1954 enrolled at the Pamyati 1905 goda regional art school (Moscow), from which he was expelled for ‘anarchist-bohemian behaviour’. Self-made artist.
From the late 1950s regularly contributed his works to non-conformist art shows both inside and outside the Soviet Union.
Did paintings and graphic works.
Died in Moscow in 1986.
In 1994 the Museum of Private Collections held a Zverev solo show; the Tretyakov Gallery staged another Zverev show in 1998.
